You can donate funds by credit card via this form, or via e-transfer to this email address. Please note that while Creative Reuse Toronto is a registered not-for-profit organization, at this time, we are unfortunately unable to give charitable receipts.

Donate materials

To donate materials, please fill out this form and then book an appointment. We are receiving all items at Creative Reuse Toronto (68 Abell St.). For your safety and the safety of our team, we will only accept donations during your appointment time.

The following materials are on our wish list. Unfortunately, at this time, we can only accept items on this list. Please DO NOT leave donations at our door.

Urgent request: Spools and cones of thread

Fabric:
• Fine-woven cotton and cotton/polyester blend fabrics
• Woven or non-woven polyester fabrics
• Tyvek fabric – may be new, or lightly used banner fabric
• Cotton knits
• New T-shirts or T-shirt fabric (may be all cotton or cotton/polyester blend)
• Pellon – not the fusible kind.
• Bias tape - all sizes
• Cotton tea towels or tea towel yardage

Notions and equipment:
• Elastic suitable for over-ear attachments to masks
• Fabric cutters – electric
• Dressmakers’ scissors (must be sharp)
• Set square, straight-edge rulers (long)
• Large cutting mats
• Unused sewing machine needles
• Good commercial-quality irons 
• Sewing clips (straight pins are not advised for holding fabrics as they create holes in masks)
• Portable sewing machines in good working condition that we can lend to home sewers to make masks
• Sergers in good working condition

​Health and safety supplies:
• Nitrile or vinyl gloves – all sizes (Do not divert unopened packages needed by front-line health workers and hospitals. If we receive unopened, unexpired packages we will give these to front-line workers and hospitals as needed.)
• Sanitizers (Do not divert those needed by front-line health workers and hospitals.)
• Bleach (If we get more than we need at the centre, we will pass on to our home mask-makers.)
• J-cloths (If we get more than we need at the centre, we will pass on to our home mask-makers.)
• Blue shop towels


Packaging supplies:
• New clear plastic waste bags (large)
• New clear resealable plastic bags (medium, large and extra-large)
• New flat-pack boxes about the size of filing boxes

Furnishings:
• Chrome industrial-quality shelving with casters (18" x 36” x 60", 18" x 36” x 72", or 24" x 48" x 72")
• New plastic bins (shoe box size and medium or larger size – must be easily lifted when full)
